Hello Readers. Thanks for visiting Northern Built!
Recently I’ve been getting a lot of emails and questions about building science and building projects readers are having in cold climates. “How do I do this” or “I’ve got this problem happening”. I try to answer everyone either on this site or by email. This got me thinking, should we dedicate a few posts a year highlighting the problems readers are experiencing? Kind of a questions and answers post where everyone can follow along. Here are my thoughts on the process:
A reader emails me with a cold climate construction issue or question.
I respond with questions I have on the issue and request photos supporting the question.
I write a blog post detailing what I believe are the problems and give my opinions on how to address the issues.
Readers can then give their opinions or ask further questions in the comment section of the blog post.
A simple questions and answers blog post dedicated to one reader’s problems in construction. My hope is there will be further discussions on the topic by other readers. There will probably have to be some sort of waver signed by the party asking the questions, I am answering questions digitally and am not in person doing the diagnostics. It’s just me giving my opinion based on what I understand the problem to be.
What do you think? Should I start a Q & A blog post? Does anyone have a cold climate construction issue they would be willing to have featured on a post? Send me an email:
I’m going to leave you with one of my favorite quotes:
